Over the past decade, Lara Monro has established herself as a leading funding consultant and bid writer within the UK’s arts and culture sectors. 

She has worked with a range of commercial and non-commercial galleries and organisations, including White Cube, The Dot Project, Open Space, and Work Show Grow. 

She has also served as a studio and project manager for creative practitioners, a freelance journalist, and as Editor at Large (UK/Europe) for the LA based arts and culture magazine Autre.

Additionally, Lara has bee an affiliate mentor with Ceri Hand and the Creative Mentor Network, showcasing her commitment to nurturing creative talent.

Drawing on this diverse experience, Lara created Working With, a consulting platform designed to help creative practitioners, arts and culture organisations and collectives overcome financial barriers, turn ideas into projects, and much more, through tailored services.

Since establishing Working With, Lara has helped over 300 creatives to develop their ideas, collectively raising more than £800,000 in public investment. 

As a result of her strong desire to disseminate her knowledge and understanding of the public arts and culture funding systems, she regularly delivers online and in-person workshops with established collectives and organisations including: I Like Networking, Make Your Own Masters, V&A Young People, Art Meets Culture and Sheroes.
