De Ateliers Application Call 2026

De Ateliers is an artists’ institute open to artists at the beginning of their professional career. It offers a two-year studio and tutoring programme that is best tailored to the needs of highly motivated artists who wish to strengthen their artistic foundation, develop their ideas and deepen their practice in a focused, critical environment among peers from around the globe. The programme is centred around weekly individual studio conversations, with regular and guest tutors, most of whom are practicing artists. The aim is to create a better understanding of one’s artistic position and process by offering a multiplicity of perspectives and critical feedback.

Who can apply: open to all visual artists at the beginning of their professional career, from all countries and nationalities.

What you get:

Ten emerging artists get a studio for two years in a professional working environment, in which they will receive intense mentorship of prominent colleagues.

A stipend of €17.916 (2025-2026), provided by the Ateliers Support Fund (ASF) and a yearly production budget of €2.100 (2025-2026), provided by Ammodo Foundation for Arts, Architecture and Science.

Affordable housing in Amsterdam, firstly to participants coming from abroad and secondly to participants already living in the Netherlands.

Entry fee: €65. Applicants from the ‘Least Developed Countries’ list are exempted.

Earth Stories

ArtEO is calling on artists to transform Earth Observation and other environmental data into innovative, multisensory art. Selected artists will receive: funding to produce original work; mentorship from scientists and creative experts; access to satellite data, research networks, and technical support; along with the opportunity to participate in a public exhibition in 2026.

Who can apply:

ArtEO welcome artists from any discipline to apply - visual artists, musicians, choreographers, digital artists, and beyond. This opportunity is aimed at mid-career artists, but early and established artists are also welcome. You don't need a background in science or data to apply. Applicants must be over 18. They accept applications worldwide.

What you get:

Funding: Up to €4,000 per artist to produce an original new artwork.
Exhibition: The opportunity to participate in a 2026 exhibition.
Access: To scientists, EO data, and research networks.
Mentorship: Technical, conceptual, and scientific guidance. Learning: Sessions and resources on climate science and EO data.
Collaboration: Co-creative experimentation with ArtEO, other artists and scientists.

Seasonality of the Anthropocene

Seasonality of the Anthropocene is a new initiative that brings together artists and environmental researchers to co-create artistic works exploring how seasons are changing, and what these changes mean for us. Through this collaboration, we aim to bridge environmental art, activism, and academia, opening new avenues for communicating and advocating for climate and environmental action while (re)discovering the deep interconnectedness of humans and nature. 2 UK artists and 5 Malaysians artists will be selected.

Who can apply: open to artists of all disciplines, age 18 or over, based in the UK or Malaysia.

What you get: £530 stipend, be part of the art-science network, collaborate with an environmental researcher to co-create artwork, opportunity to travel to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia for the exhibition launch and knowledge-sharing workshop.

FluxusMuseum Prize for Experimental Video 2026
Deadline: 16th January 2026

FluxusMuseum Prize for Experimental Video is now in its third year. Over the duration of this year’s prize, €45,000 will be given to participants, with a portion used to support the development of their projects, a fee provided to selected artists for their participation in the exhibition, and the remainder awarded as prizes at the exhibition’s end.

Who can apply: Open to anyone who lives and works anywhere in the world. There are no age restrictions.

What you get: Selected proposals will be commissioned for screening to FMTV users at a fee of €100. 10 finalists will be commissioned €1000 to develop their work for the exhibition. The completed films will then be exhibited within the gallery space throughout summer 2026 and prize winners announced in September.

The Royal Institute of Painters in Water Colours Open Call 2026

The Royal Institute of Painters in Water Colours (RI) invites artists to submit artwork for the RI Annual Exhibition 2026 at Mall Galleries.

Eligibility:

Any artist aged 18 or over may enter, from anywhere in the world.
Artists may enter a maximum of six artworks each.
Works should be no larger than 2.4m along the longest dimension.
All works must be an original creation by the artist
Acceptable media: Watercolour or water-soluble mediums including watercolour, watercolour pencil, acrylic, ink or gouache.
What you get:

Selected artists will have their work exhibited at Mall Galleries, London, with potential for sales and commissions. There are £10,000 worth of incredible prizes and awards on offer, including The Winsor & Newton Award of £3,000!

UKCPS Silver Exhibition Call for Entries

Educating in their chosen medium and promoting the appreciation of the arts to all, the UKCPS are a welcoming home for creatives who share a passion for producing the very finest art with the most accessible of media, colour pencils.

And so it is with great pleasure that the society invites you to join them at the UKCPS Silver Exhibition, celebrating 25 years of the beauty of colour pencil. This juried event, their celebratory Silver Exhibition, showcases beautiful artwork from all corners of the country and beyond, so do join in with celebrating the joy of creating with colour pencil.

Who can apply: open to all living artists, aged 18 or over. The artist must demonstrate compositional and drawing skills and the ability to use colour pencil.

What you get: exhibition opportunity at Mall Galleries and awards.

Jeffrey Rubinoff Sculpture Pari 2026 Exploratory Research Residency

The Jeffrey Rubinoff Sculpture Park (JRSP) is offering up to three Exploratory Research Residencies for the 2026 season, providing accommodation, local transport, and a food stipend for six nights on Hornby Island, with options for longer stays: vailable time slots are April 26 – May 3, May 3 – 10, and May 10 – 17, 2026.

Who can apply: This residency is open to both professional and emerging artists. There is no requirement criteria for formal training, education or recognition by any professional body. Applicants will be judged by:

Evidence of their dedication to their practice
The merits of their sample portfolio
Their research proposal
What you get: Accommodation for up to 6 nights, a stipend of $1500 to cover food and local transport from Vancouver to Hornby Island (and while on the island). Residents are responsible for arranging travel to and from Hornby Island and for bringing any necessary equipment or materials. Note: The stipend is not meant to cover costs associated with long distance travel, it is envisaged to only cover the cost of travel and food from the local vicinity. The applicant should indicate if they are covering costs of long-distance travel.

Creative Climate Awards 2026 - Collective Power Apr 2026 – May 2026

The 2026 CCAs invite artists to respond to the theme of Collective Power, exploring how unity, solidarity and shared vision drive transformative change in the context of the climate crisis. Submissions are welcomed across 2D, 3D, film and performance disciplines, celebrating collaboration, amplifying frontline voices, and inspiring collective action. Selected works will be exhibited in New York City for a month, with opportunities for networking, online promotion, and exposure to judges, alongside cash prizes for top placements and potential selection for an in-person artist residency at Foundation House in Greenwich, Connecticut.

Tsarino Foundation Group Residency Open Call — 2026
Deadline: 2nd February 2026

Tsarino AiR is offering a month-long group residency in June 2026 for up to ten artists, researchers, and creative practitioners to develop work in response to the village and its surrounding landscape and community. Participants are invited to explore the site through process-based, open-ended approaches, with the residency culminating in a public event that may take the form of an exhibition, performance, or intervention. Accommodation is provided in private rooms within traditional Rhodopean houses, alongside shared communal spaces, basic facilities, and three vegetarian meals a day, with practical support from the foundation team. Contributions are €630 for unfunded participants or €900 for funded participants, covering accommodation, food, workspace, and project support, with travel provided between Tsarino and Chorbadzhiysko.

The Royal Society of Portrait Painters Open Call 2026
Deadline: 3rd February 2026

The Royal Society of Portrait Painters (RP) invites artists aged 18 and over from around the world to submit original paintings, drawings or prints for the RP Annual Exhibition 2026 at Mall Galleries, London. Each artist may enter up to four works, no larger than 2.4m on the longest side, with sculpture and photography excluded. Selected artists gain exhibition exposure in central London and the chance to compete for £35,000 in prizes, including the £20,000 William Lock Portrait Prize for outstanding achievement in portraiture.

Sales & Exhibition Opportunity with Boomer Gallery: Contemporary 7th Edition

This exhibition explores and affirms the intrinsic value of art by showcasing a wide range of practices and encouraging dialogue around what is considered “good enough,” inviting engagement between artists, their work, and audiences. It is open to artists working in any medium, from painting and sculpture to digital and mixed media. Selected participants receive inclusion in a printed catalogue, professional event photography, no commission on sales, and optional printing and framing services, with a participation fee of £189 including VAT.

Back to Basics - Thematic residency in Finland, Summer 2026

The Back to Basics residency at Arteles Creative Center in Hämeenkyrö, Finland, offers a month-long multidisciplinary retreat for artists, writers, designers and other creative practitioners to reconnect with their creativity, slow down, and engage deeply with nature. Participants step away from digital distractions to focus on their practice, reflect, and rediscover the fundamentals of their work and wellbeing. Open to applicants aged 23 and over, the program runs across July, August and September 2026, with fees ranging from €1,350 to €1,950.

OCEANS Open Call – MIT Museum Public Programs

This open call invites artists, scientists, engineers, designers and creative practitioners to develop innovative public programmes exploring humanity’s relationship with the oceans through art, science, technology and design. Selected projects will be presented as part of the MIT Museum’s OCEANS thematic focus, with opportunities for public engagement and up to USD 1,000 to cover materials and expenses. The programme runs between September 2026 and March 2027, and is open to MIT students, staff and faculty, as well as applicants from the wider global community.

Emerging Writers’ Festival 2026 Artist Callout

The Emerging Writers’ Festival 2026 in Melbourne is now accepting applications from writers, storytellers and creatives of all kinds, from first-time poets and essayists to digital creators, performers, and music artists. The Art House International Residency Open Call 2026
Deadline: 7th February 2026

The Art House and the Royal Over-Seas League are inviting international artists to apply for a two-month residency in Wakefield, UK, between May and July 2026. Open to artists living outside the UK in commonwealth countries, the US/EU/EEA, or Switzerland, the residency provides fully funded travel, visa, living costs, studio space, and accommodation, alongside access to print, ceramic and darkroom facilities with technical support. Artists receive mentoring, material budgets, opportunities for studio visits, engagement with UK galleries, and support in developing their practice, with flexibility for individual needs. Proposals are welcome from all contemporary visual arts disciplines, with an emphasis on experimentation and practice development.

Artflow Prize 2026

The Artflow Prize is a biannual award supporting emerging artists with international exposure and opportunities to showcase their work, open to applicants aged 18 and over working in any medium (AI-generated work is not accepted). Winners receive a £200 cash prize, free entry into group shows with Artflow Studio and partner organisations, and exclusive interviews and features across JustArt Newspaper Club, IOAEA, and HelloArt. Additional recognition includes an online exhibition for ten artists and spotlight interviews for two, offering a platform to connect with the global art community and gain professional visibility.

Jackson’s Art Prize 2026
Deadline: 11th February 2026

Now in its eleventh year, Jackson’s Art Prize is an international opportunity for artists working in all two-dimensional practices, offering the chance to win £6,000 plus £2,000 in art materials alongside a wide range of additional awards. The prize includes 31 awards in total, with shortlisted artists invited to exhibit at the Affordable Art Fair on Hampstead Heath and in a group exhibition at Bankside Gallery in central London, and long-term support through inclusion on Jackson’s online gallery. Open to artists working in painting, drawing, printmaking and related disciplines, the prize has awarded over £98,000 to date and is judged this year by a panel including Deborah Smith, Caroline Walker and Faye Wei Wei, with entry fees set at £5 for early bird and £6.50 for standard entry.

Chanel You, Me & Us: Designing Futures

Designing Futures, run in partnership with Chanel, is a free 22-week mentorship programme supporting 18–25-year-olds interested in pursuing careers in the luxury industry. Participants gain insights into luxury brands, build professional networks, expand portfolios, and develop key skills, guided by mentors from Chanel and Orlebar Brown across departments such as marketing, communications, design, finance, and innovation. Brave curator-in-residence programme

Applications are open for a three-month curator-in-residence programme at brave, running from March to June 2026, offering emerging and mid-career curators the opportunity to shape the organisation’s chapter programme, dialogues and brave one. The role involves developing thematic direction, artist selection, and critical framing, with scope for experimentation, reflection and collaborative engagement. Selected curators can bring their own voice, research interests and approach, contributing to both their practice and brave’s evolving programme, with a focus on narrative, emerging practices and thoughtful engagement with artists and ideas.

59th International Meeting of Naïve Artists Trebnje

This international residency-style gathering brings together self-taught visual artists for a period of making, exchange and public presentation, culminating in the creation and exhibition of new work on site at the Gallery of Naïve Artists Trebnje. It is open to self-taught artists from any country, with priority given to those who have not previously taken part in the International Meeting of Naïve Artists Trebnje. Selected artists receive free accommodation, meals, basic art materials and travel reimbursement, with eligibility for a €2,000 award and a future solo exhibition.

Unfiltered Photo Contest

The Canvas Hotel “Unfiltered” Photo Contest welcomes submissions from all participants, with a particular encouragement for student entries, offering three cash prizes including $5,000 for first place. Winners gain significant exposure, including solo exhibitions at the Hotel Canvas Fifth Avenue Gallery and recognition as a Featured Artist, while all participants may have a guest room at the hotel named after them to display work and retain 100% of any sales. Arts Council England: R&D Focused National Lottery Project Grants

Arts Council England has introduced a ring-fenced £7.5 million Research & Development fund within National Lottery Project Grants to support individual practitioners while Developing Your Creative Practice is paused. The fund supports experimentation, research and practice development through activities such as mentoring, residencies and collaboration. Grants of £1,000 to £30,000 are available for projects lasting up to one year, with no match funding required.

Honeybourne Line Cycle Path – Open Call for Public Art
